Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR — won the APC direct presidential primary of May 23, 2026 with over 10.9 million votes; declared winner May 24, 2026 by the Primary Election Committee Chairman, Senator Pius Anyim.

INEC has published the final list of 18 presidential candidates and their running mates, including President Bola Tinubu (APC), former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar (ADC) and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi (NDC).

The Legal Framework
